To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament, the famed Harbour Town Lighthouse, which also turned 50 this last year, was given a temporary golf-themed facelift. The structure, located on Sea Pines Plantation in Hilton Head Island, S.C., has always been known for its red and white stripes, but now sports plaid and white stripes.

I live off of to-do lists, calendars, schedules, and the like – just ask my husband, if plans change, it takes me a while to accept the new arrangement and move forward. Hey, it takes a lot of work to organize a well-thought out plan! It is something I have had to work on and I’m learning every day how to embrace the flow and go with whatever changes are in my path.

Raw Talent to Craft Rustic Homes
Ewing designed this two-story post-and-beam home in a hillside district for one of his sons. Originally a one-story Buff & Hensman design from 1956, the home had been falling apart over the years on its 45-degree slope, so Ewing developed a plan to revitalize and expand it. The new home is also more environmentally conscious and includes bamboo flooring, shelving, and bookcases as well as a glass-bead reflective-light paint made to reflect 92 percent of the heat off the roof.

Prior to joining AMT, Jennifer was Sr. Editor of Wide-Format Impressions, covering the signage and wide-format printing market . Jennifer was Editor of Printing News, Wide-Format & Signage, Inkjet's Age and PrintingNews.com, where she brought her award-winning talent and fresh perspective to the ever-changing print and graphics industry, exploring the issues, challenges and technology revolving around the commercial, digital, sign and wide-and grand-format markets.

Prior to her tenure with the Printing News Group, she was assistant editor of Railway Track & Structures and has written for a variety of trade publications including Canadian Builders Quarterly, Canadian Executive Quarterly, and Green Business Quarterly.
